“After about two minutes after the start there was a serious problem, leading to the loss of the mission. On behalf of Arianespace, I want to Express my deepest apologies to our customers for the loss of their cargo,” said Fabregat.
She noted, more accurate information about the causes of the incident will be released “in the coming hours” after the initial analysis of the technical information about the flight of the rocket.
This is the first unsuccessful launch of missiles of this class. It was originally scheduled for the night of 5 to 6 July, then postponed to Sunday, July 7, because of the strong high-altitude winds above the site of the Guiana space center. In the future, the launch date was again moved on July 11.
Recall, 21 November 2018 , the Vega rocket with the satellite Mohammed VI on Board was successfully launched from Kourou in French Guiana. The start was successful.
It was also reported that on may 30 , Russia launched a proton rocket with the most powerful communications satellite.
